How old should I be in order to rent a car?
It depends on the car class. The minimum age starts from 23 years old.
How many years do I need to have a driving license so as to be able to rent a car?
You must have held your driver's license for at least one year prior to the day of rental.
Can someone else drive the vehicle I have rented?
You have the option to add an additional driver to the rental agreement with a fee of €3 depending on the season and the company's price list.
What kind of insurance is included in the price?
When you rent a car from Avance Lesvos the price includes full insurance with a deduction limit which is dependent on the car category you choose. The limit of deduction/excess is your maximum liability in the event of an accident that will be caused to our vehicle under your fault. You can reduce or even eliminate the deduction/excess by paying the corresponding extra fee. In the event of an accident that is not your fault, you have no responsibility.
Full insurance covers all kinds of damages?
No insurance covers damages caused underneath the car, to the car's tires or to the windows. Furthermore, full insurance and the deduction limit are not valid in case the accident you caused is a result of violation of the Road Traffic Law, or you have been driving under the influence of alcohol or narcotics.
What should I do in the event of an accident?
In the event of an accident, you must not move the vehicle and notify our company as well as the traffic police in order to record the incident.
What documents should I have with me at the car rental office?
In order to rent a car you must present your driving license, your ID and a debit or credit card.
Can I rent a car without a credit card?
Yes, you can rent a car without a credit / debit card. It is sufficient either to pay by cash upon delivery the insurance deposit (which will be returned to you when you return the car) or to choose the FDW insurance which has zero deduction/excess limit, in which case the credit / debit card is not needed.
Which is the cancellation policy?
Cancellation of your reservation is free. You can cancel your reservation through "Manage Booking" without any cancellation fees.
Is there a limitation of kilometers?
Kilometers are free without limitation.
